The Journal of Literacy and Technology

(www.literacyandtechnology.org) is an online peer-reviewed international academic journal exploring the complex relationship between literacy and technology in educational, workplace, public, and individual spheres.

Started in 2000, the Journal of Literacy and Technology, ISSN 1534-0975, is hosted at Florida Atlantic University and was edited by Noemi Marin, Professor of Communication from 2005-2023. Journal of Literacy and Technology presents original academic scholarship, feature articles, and book reviews that overtly focus on complex relationships between literacy and technology, including, but not limited to, the following areas of research: New Media, Social Media Communication Studies; Digital Humanities; Rhetoric, Technology & Literacy; Multicultural Literacies Technology; Workplace Culture of Technology; Distance and/or Virtual Work and Communication Competence; Gaming, Education and Literacy; Web Research and Theory; New Library Studies; Cross-Cultural Perspectives on Technology; International Studies on E-Learning; Media Literacy. The Journal of Literacy and Technology is indexed in EBSCO Database and Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Published bi-annually, with an ongoing deadline, this important academic journal has published over 25 edited volumes, with over 17,000 pages in print.
